April
April is a fantastic month to visit Amsterdam. All manner of trees and flowers are in bloom as the temperatures tick up pleasantly. Outdoor terraces are opening up and sunny days are at hand.

April’s are long, beautiful days in Amsterdam, with the sun not setting until as late as 9:00 PM near the end of the month. Sunny days in the 60s are not uncommon—but the weather can change quickly in an Amsterdam April. Have your umbrella with you as you take walking tours over the cobblestone roads. Keep a light sweater on hand for cool evenings. Long-sleeved shirts should be given preference over short-sleeved shirts. Cold, fast winds can come at any time. You might want to have a backpack stocked with warm gear, just in case.
The average high temperature in an Amsterdam April is º53 (F)/º11 (C). The average lows are º40/º4, with an overall average temperature of º47/º8. Every April in Amsterdam there are an average of 5 days above º60.
