  1. When will be a good time to come to Amsterdam, I’m thinking to visit in March orApril 2012 or Late August 2012 ..What other cities or nearby countries would be good to visit… I will be there for 7 or 8 days.

  2. Hi Lyn!

I would opt for April 2012. Weather is nice and it’s not too crowded. March is a bit cold and August will be crowded with many tourists and expensive accommodation. You can basically visit most of Central and western Europe from Amsterdam so take your pick. There are trains to big cities in Germany, Copenhagen, Brussels..

  3. Hi! I’m coming to Amsterdam to celebrate the New year 2012. Do you have any suggestions where I can spend New years’ eve? I’ rather spend it outdoors than in a club! thank you

  4. Spend it on one of the open squares in the city, Nora. One year (2003 I think) I spent it on Leidseplein. Quite cosy, but it was dangerous as well because of all the youngsters with fireworks.
