Housing the largest collection of the world famous Dutch painter, the Van Gogh Museum is the pride and joy of Amsterdam. Boasting a wide range of Vincent van Gogh pieces from his popular works to his lesser known paintings, a visit to this museum promises to be a unique experience.
With a collection that includes 200 paintings and 600 drawings, it is no wonder that the Van Gogh Museum is a popular Amsterdam attraction. Walking around the this beautiful building is akin to catching a direct glimpse into Van Gogh’s turbulent life – his works are classified according to five periods (The Netherlands, Paris, Arles, Saint-Remy and Auvers-sur-Oise), all of which reflect his changing moods and perspectives.

The Van Gogh Museum is located on the Museumplein (Amsterdam’s Museum Quarter) and its address is Paulus Potterstraat 7 Amsterdam 1071. To get there, take tram 2 or 5 from the Central Station.
Tickets for the period of July – December 2008 is Euro 12.50.
