Since Netherlands is famous for its canals and windmills, you can’t visit Netherland’s most renowned city without checking out the ever popular windmills. Offering a gentle blend of majestic charm and nostalgia, De Molen van Sloten is one of the few windmills that are still open to public.

De Molen van Sloten is located just outside Amsterdam. It contains a wide variety of interesting attractions for the discerning traveler. Take the guided tour and learn how the miller goes about his daily tasks. Hop over to the Copper Museum and get an inside look at the intricate nature of copper works. Or you can climb all the way to the top and check out the informative clip about Rembrandt’s life.

The addresss for De Molen van Sloten is Akersluis 10, Amsterdam, Noord-Holland 1066 EZ. To get there, take the 192 bus from Sloterdijk or Schipol railway station or no. 145 from Leidseplein. Or you can catch the no. 2 tram from central station and drop off at Nieuw Sloten. There will be signs that will lead you in the right direction from there.
