Ajax Amsterdam


Ajax achieved the first domestic success in 1960 earning the Eredivisie Championship in 1957 and again earned in 1960. Historically Ajax is one of the three teams who dominate Dutch National Football League. Out of the various football teams in the world, Ajax is considered to be the most winning team. As per IFFHS in 20th century, Ajax was in last seven in most successful team in European club. Ajax among the five Clubs who has earned right to prolong European cup. Ajax has also right to have a multiple badges. Ajax has won in a row in 1971 and 1973. Ajax successfully accomplished European treble and by attracting Dutch Eredivisie, KNVB cup in 1972. In 1995 they won the International Cup and the Champions League. That was Ajaxs’ last international cups. In the three teams who won the Champions League and International cup, Ajax is the one of them.  Ajax was achieved this in 1971-72. They have won the International cup two times.

Ajax first stadium was built in 1911. The stadium built out of wood and called The Stadium.  Ajax moved in a new stadium called Amsterdam Arena in 1996, located in the city. The stadium holds capacity for 52000 people.  The fairly accurate attendance in the year 2006/07 was about 48000. In the year 2008-09 it then rising up to 49000. The sports ground has a standing reputation in Netherlands for dreadful grass pitch caused by removable roots as they can open when it wants fresh air and sunshine. In 2008-09 Arena’s ground staffs introduced the artificial lights and finally solved this problem considerably.  Ajax has great fan mails all over in the world.
